Please note: we have in the past received queries such as these:

  • Help me locate a war buddy / relative / specific person
  • Help me find some very specific photo or aircraft
  • Help me find some very specific technical or historical detail

Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to answer such queries--therefore, we apologize that we can not answer email with such requests. We certainly e-mail relating to the archives and their betterment.

Looking for a specific person? Try the appropriate branch of the armed forces or one of the many "help locate a veteran" services out there. Looking for a specific photo, information about a specific aircraft, or some technical detail? For most queries I get, the answer can be gotten by a quick peek into your local library or bookstore. For serious queries, the best general place to start your search is the archives of the US National Air and Space Museum (Smithsonian).

Donating Images: we are currently working on a system to allow online donation of images. We ask that you hold off on your donations until this is complete.

Similarly, if you have corrections or suggestions for the archive, please hold off with such until our upgrade to the system is complete and will allow for this to be done through a web interface.
